Demo Details
This page outlines the features and functionality of the Honey Helps Demo system.
Step 1: Create a Fundraiser
To start the demo process, you are prompted to enter a name and email address. All example emails sent throughout the demo process will be sent to this person.
Once submitted, the setup process will kickoff (note that the initial setup may take some time to execute). This process includes:
- System tables are copied from the live site including: Settings (shipping), Products, and Email Templates
- Creating a test organization with an organizer (note that the organizer is also flagged as an admin if you need to visit the admin area during a demo)
- Creating a test fundraiser
- Creating 2 group leaders, each with 4 assigned participants
- Some group leaders/participants will be marked as "registered"
- Some participants will have a parent/guardian email specified
- Example organizer emails is sent: Fundraiser Approaching and Fundraiser Kickoff
- Example participant emails is sent: Sales Page Setup Request and Sales Link
At this point, you will be logged in as the organizer, looking at a new, empty fundraiser. Feel free to explore and show the system as it will exist on the first day of an actual fundraiser.
Step 2: Fast Forward
This process includes:
- 20 test orders are built with random data to mirror real-world orders
- Example organizer email is sent: Fundraiser Half Over
- A random order is selected and an example order confirmation email is sent
- The fundraiser start and end dates are shifted to place you in the middle of the fundraiser
At this point, you will see a good example of a fundraiser in progress. Feel free to move around and test adding and notifying contacts, and placing orders via both the public ordering page and the in person system.
Step 3: Run to End
This process includes:
- 20 additional orders are built - this should land the fundraiser close to the final goal
- Example organizer email is sent: Fundraiser Closing Process included an attached Excel file with orders that require delivery
- Example participant emails is sent: Final Delivery Notice including a list of orders that need to be delivered
- The fundraiser start and end dates are shifted to place you at the end of the fundraiser
At this point, purchasing will be closed on the participant side. On the organizer side, you will be able to download and view the reconciliation report.
Step 4: End Demo
This clears out all the demo data and sends you back to the start page. This can be done at any time in the demo process.
Profile Switching
At any time during a demo, you can view the fundraiser from the Organizer or Participant role. Simply click the button in the lower right of the screen to jump between the 2 experiences.
